HZ at the Mayflower

IMG_4104
I noticed the well preserved lobby of the Mayflower during one of our Project HOPE nights. Though there exists some obvious signs of wear, the lobby of the Mayflower still exhibits a presence of the well-to-do and happening days of 1930s Akron.

I decided to take a couple of friends and took control of the lobby, setting up a light and a fan (?).

We spent two hours taking advantage of the great props. A couple residents inquired, but for the most part, we were on our own to make complete fools of ourselves and make a mockery of the Mayflower lobby.

I think you guys are getting to an age where it's important to prove to yourselves you're not quite adults yet. Well, Mission Accomplished l'enfants terrible.

Honest to Christ..... jumping on couches?

Honestly, would you pull this stunt anywhere else?

The Radisson maybe ? How about Portage CC?
Maybe the lobby of Children's Hospital?

This shows a complete disrespect for the Mayflower residents and where they live. Not to mention disrespecting the profession.

Please think a little harder before you guys pull a stunt like this again.

I couldn't agree more with you Mencken. Taking these photos in the Mayflower would be completely disrespectful. That's why we recreated a scale model of the Mayflower in my mom's basement. Where I live.

Greg, your couch photo looks like a Topps baseball card shoot gone wrong. Worlds worst head first slide ever.

I love the top photo.

Did you guys go out for 'OC Bombs' after this shoot?

I'm thinking next you get a couple of your friends together, have them dress in old clothes and take some pictures at your homeless buddies' camp. Wouldn't that be a hoot ? You can get some shots of them diving out of the tent flaps holding a PBJ.

Woo Hoo!

HA! Nobody in their right mind would really want to got there, but the Summit County Courthouse has that nostaligic feel to it. Vaulted ceilings, wooden benches, cascading floors.

I would like to see some eyecandy getting their shoes shined while reading the morning paper. The cafeteria is ol' schoo. Good stuff. Not sure if they allow pictures inside, but I'm sure it's manageable with permission.
